nocked him down and killed him dead
Anna ran for the station caught the 5:15, her heart off the rails her eyes filled with steam
All the boys up on the hillside red hands and restless souls
lookin out over an iron mine in the valley down below
they worked hard to escape the pit, still ended up in the hole

Anna tried to make Duluth her home, but she was lost with Freddy gone
folks found her washed up near Silver Bay, she flung herself from the Palisade
Anna took one last ride headed North, the tracks took her past where she was born
